From the \u201cso ugly, it\u2019s actually pretty neat\u201d to lovely<br \/>\nlinens and handcrafted laces and fabrics, one man\u2019s trash can become your<br \/>\ntreasure.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nIn April I wrote about protecting your textile collection<br \/>\nwith proper cleaning and storage.&nbsp; Today<br \/>\nI wish to discuss Protecting Yourself.&nbsp;<br \/>\nThis may sound a bit strange at first but vintage textiles that have<br \/>\nlived a long life outside the clean conditions of shops and museums can harbor<br \/>\nall sorts of unpleasant problems.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nConsider the possible conditions of barn and cellar storage,<br \/>\nof storing used and soiled textiles together with whatever else is in that old<br \/>\ntrunk.
